About this campaign

Steven was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma approximately 3 years ago.  Steven went through a few different treatments including chemotherapy and he seemed to get better.  However, earlier this year he was informed that the cancer had spread to his liver and stomach along with other body organs and he would need further treatment.  On November 19th Steven was rushed to the hospital in Waxahachie due to being extremely jaundice and having a blockage in his colon.  At that time the family was told he would only live another 2 weeks to a month max.  Steven was the sole provider for his disabled wife Cindy and carried the whole weight of life on his shoulders because he didn’t want to burden anyone else.  Due to Steven’s illness he was forced to go on short-term disability and eventually long-term disability, which cancelled his health and life insurance policies because he couldn’t afford to pay for them out of pocket.
